Mechanical Technician - Power Station

Circa 40,000 + Benefits (Monday to Friday)

We are currently looking for an Mechanical Technician or Engineer with Mechanical Experience with relevant experience to work on a Monday to Friday basis within a Power Station in Suffolk.

Alecto Recruitment are currently working with a Large Power Generation Company that have multiple facilities across the UK.

  • Salary is around 40,000 a year.

Job Brief

To support the Engineering Team with all Operational Mechanical Engineering.

During this role, you will be required to;

  • Work alongside a team of skilled workers.
  • Maintain work and activity records.
  • Prepare and present technical reports.
  • Provide advice and expertise on the current running of the plant when requested.
  • Comply with all health and safety to the highest standard.
  • Monitor performance and standards on shift.
  • Assist Management and Supervisors with plant running.
  • Carry out preventative, responsive and pre-planned maintenance.
  • Use CMMS Systems to comply with existing site procedures.

Requirements

  • MUST hold Mechanical Qualifications.
  • Ideally hold an HNC, Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Should have completed an Apprenticeship within Engineering.
  • Proven experience within Heavy Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience within a Waste, Recycling, Power or Process plant Facility.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

The Person

  • This role would suit an experienced person with experience within any Heavy Industry environment.
  • This opportunity comes with a vast amount of training and a clear progression route within the company.
  • Ideally someone with the eye for detail and good communication skills.
