A leading Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) services company based in Ipswich is seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects while enjoying the rewards and stability of a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee mechanical or electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide leadership to project teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to secure resources and manage procurement.
  • Regularly travel to London (once or twice a week) to oversee ongoing projects and client relationships.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively address any challenges.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in managing mechanical or electrical projects within the construction or building services sector.
  • Experience with MOD (Ministry of Defence) or MOJ (Ministry of Justice) projects is highly advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and build client relationships.
  • Excellent organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
  • A valid UK driving license is essential.
