Long term temp assingment required for a large, local firm based on the outskirts of Ipswich (east side). Our client seeks a proactive and detail-oriented PR & Communications Officer to support the execution of marketing strategy and corporate communications plans. Reporting to the PR & CC Manager, you will assist in driving PR and communications initiatives, while also providing broader support to the marketing team. This position is ideal for someone with previous PR / Marketing experience who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively support the implementation of PR and corporate communications campaigns.
  • Develop and distribute compelling content.
  • Research and refine media contact lists, responding to enquiries, and sharing news / updates.
  • Maintain and refine stakeholder lists for PR outreach and support media engagement activities, including responding to inquiries and proactively sharing news and updates.
  • Create, proofread, and edit high-quality content including press releases, articles, blog posts, and social media updates, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Assist with events and wider marketing duties where needed
  • Assist in ensuring alignment with the PR & Corporate Communications calendar, adhering to deadlines and key milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with company-wide internal teams, and build relationships with external media and stakeholders.
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on PR campaign performance and media coverage to track the success of initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and project support.

Key Skills

Candidates should have a strong background in writing and editing content, stakeholder management, media engagement and PR measurement and should thrive on the challenge of a fast-paced environment and a company where marketing & communications is evolving in line with business needs.

Qualifications

BA degree in corporate communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
