Project Overview

The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of projects across the commercial, educational, healthcare, and leisure sectors, providing exposure to various construction methods and contract types.

Performance Objectives

  • Assist in the financial and cost management of multiple construction projects.
  • Support the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality supplier and subcontractor selection.
  • Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors to prepare tender documents, contracts, and cost reports.
  • Monitor and track project costs, ensuring budgets remain under control.
  • Assist in handling valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Carry out site visits to assess progress, measure completed work, and support project cost control.
  • Maintain clear and detailed records to support project financial reporting and compliance.
  • Ensure all works adhere to health, safety, and quality regulations.

Person Specification

  • Ideally working towards or already holding a degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
  • Some experience in the construction sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise confidently with subcontractors and clients.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A motivated and proactive approach, with a strong desire to develop and progress in the industry.
  • A team player, able to work closely with senior colleagues and project stakeholders.
