Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Clearfield Recruitment areseeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our well-established client who has experienced year-on-year growth since their inception. Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for construction projects.
- Manage project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters to clients and project teams.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities and material take-offs.
- Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance where necessary.
The ideal applicant will possess the following skills and experience;
- 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with exposure to a range of residential and commercial projects.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. RICS or CIOB membership (preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT/NEC).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proficient in using relevant QS software (e.g., CostX, CATO).
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
