EA Associates are working with an Ipswich-based civil engineering contractor with projects across East Anglia. We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role would suit someone with 3-5 years of experience, but they are also open to considering applicants from Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
Role Overview:
As a Quantity Surveyor, youwill be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
- Managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitoring project costs and variations
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts
- Assisting in procurement processes and negotiating contracts
- Reporting project financial performance to senior management
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in civil engineering but also open to general construction backgrounds.
- Open to candidates with less experience looking to step up from Assistant level
- Good working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
- Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software
- Full UK driving licence
