EA Associates are working with an Ipswich-based civil engineering contractor with projects across East Anglia. We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role would suit someone with 3-5 years of experience, but they are also open to considering applicants from Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

Role Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, youwill be responsible for managing costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Managing payments to subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitoring project costs and variations
  • Supporting the preparation of final accounts
  • Assisting in procurement processes and negotiating contracts
  • Reporting project financial performance to senior management

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of Quantity Surveying experience, preferably in civil engineering but also open to general construction backgrounds.
  • Open to candidates with less experience looking to step up from Assistant level
  • Good working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts
  • Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software
  • Full UK driving licence
