Your new companyYou will be working for a tier 1 contractor that specialises in commercial building projects across health, leisure and defence projects valued up to £20million. Your new roleAs a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:
- Manage and oversee the cost planning, budgeting, and cost control processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimise project costs while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations in accordance with the project's requirements.
- Analyse and report on project costs, risks, and budget performance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure project compliance with regulations, standards, and company policies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Quantity Surveying degree
- Proven experience as a QS, ideally for a tier 1 contractor
- Knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management techniques.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools
- Full UK driving licence
