Flux Consultancy have partnered witha leading design and property consultancy, renowned for delivering exceptional projects across various sectors.We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join adynamic team in Ipswich. This role offers an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in Quantity Surveying and gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors, learning and assisting in all aspects of cost management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Support the management of project costs from inception to completion.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contracts.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Help in the analysis of project risks and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
  • Support the preparation of regular financial reports and valuations.
  • Assist in the negotiation and agreement of final accounts with contractors and clients.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Previous work experience or internships in quantity surveying or construction is advantageous but not essential.
