Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager, you will identify and execute growth opportunities to expand our market position and penetrate new channels, markets, customers, and applications. You will primarily engage with Industrial and Energy OEMs across Europe and explore other potential areas for development. This senior role demands strategic business development skills, a strong "will to sell," and consultative value selling abilities to influence customer purchasing decisions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement growth strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
  • Establish and nurture new OEM relationships and support existing programs.
  • Provide competitive market intelligence and identify gaps in product offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Director and Engineering Director to drive New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.
  • Increase awareness of our products and services among customers and end-users.
  • Negotiate pricing to meet or exceed margin, growth, and volume targets.
  • Anticipate customer needs and competitive threats, taking proactive measures.
  • Forecast sales, bookings, and gross margin targets.
  • Launch new products and manage accounts within designated territories.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve customer issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with large industrial OEMs.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in selling industrial products, preferably within Marine, Power, and Industrial markets.
  • International sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Strong consultative selling and key account management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems for sales pipeline management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school. Working Conditions:
  • Based in the UK office at least three days per week, with travel throughout Europe up to 40% of the time.
  • Must be eligible for employment in the base territory and comply with national requirements.
