MacKenzie King are recruiting an Accounts Administrator for a respected Accountancy Practice based in Ipswich, Suffolk. As an Accounts Administrator, you will support the team by ensuring all work is carried out in a timely and compliant manner whilst satisfying client requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to learn new skills with a drive to progress in their career.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Creditor and debtor input on to Insolvency Practitioners System (IPS)

• Preparing standard documents/letters from IPS and Insolvency and Recovery Department templates

• IPS bank reconciliations, bank postings and managing departmental client accounts

 • Setting up and archiving working files

• Answering telephone calls and taking detailed messages where appropriate

• Preparing bills on request from portfolio-holders.

 • Preparing dividends on request from portfolio-holders

• Listing and archiving debtor records

• Supporting senior staff in the progression and management of cases

• Dealing with incoming correspondence by post, email and telephone

• Works closely with administrators, colleagues and senior members of staff in order to learn the fundamentals of insolvency

Qualifications and Experience

• Very strong communication skills both written and verbally.

• Excellent administration skills

• Experience of using Microsoft packages including Outlook and computerised packages.

 • The ability to be empathetic and sensitive to clients’ individual financial circumstances

• Strong organisation skills

• An adaptable and driven attitude when working towards a solution

 • Confidence in developing relationships with people at all levels of the firm and with external training and service providers

• Ability to multitask able to manage several different tasks to completion in a timely manner
