We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our team in Ipswich. This part-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to provide essential support to our finance department, with a focus on purchase ledger management and general finance support.
Day-to-day of the role:- Purchase Ledger Management:
- Process and record supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs.
- Maintain and update supplier accounts.
- Handle queries related to purchase ledger transactions.
- General Finance Support:
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT returns and other compliance tasks.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, particularly with purchase ledger responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.
