A building and construction client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Purchasing Supervisor to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and paying 38,000 - 40,000 per annum depending on experience. Hybrid working is available after a successful probation, working 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

Key Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage daily team operations and provide training to support individual and team growth, ensuring succession planning.
Organise updates and meetings with the Team Manager.
Oversee specific team functions and resolve daily issues.
Manage supplier relationships and performance.
Lead on supplier lead time reviews.
Present date on KPIs and non-conformance.
Lead on demand planning and provide forecasting.
Contribute to procurement process improvements and conduct regular audits.
Update ERP database and ensure compliance.
Handle recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Purchasing Supervisor position:

Previous experience in a Buyer or Supervisory role including; team coaching, supplier relationship and performance development
CIPS level 4 achieved or prepared to undertake.
Strong negotiation skills
Knowledge of ERP system
Advanced level of computer literacy.
Ability to work in a fast moving/ high pressure environment
