We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned technical professional with a strong passion for enhancing our digital environment. As the Technical Infrastructure Manager, you will possess excellent technical, cloud, and cybersecurity skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of our digital strategy and stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, technical advancements, and cybersecurity challenges.
  • Drive performance improvement and develop strong partnerships with teams across the organisation to understand their technology needs and align IT services accordingly.
  • Take ownership of the 2nd and 3rd line functions, acting as the primary technical authority within the Directorate and reporting directly to the Head of IT Operations.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and maintain the ICT infrastructure, including server, cloud, and network configuration, security, accessibility, connectivity, policy, and backup.
  • Ensure all technical services support the delivery of an excellent experience for both staff and students, working closely with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support the development of technical strategic alignment and contribute to the ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the organisations' infrastructure.
  • Act as a digital ambassador for the organisation, providing high-quality technical support and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding across a wide range of IT disciplines, with expertise in areas such as cloud server and storage, cybersecurity, networking & telephony, emerging cloud and AI solutions, workstations, applications, and audiovisual systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive technical excellence and innovation within the organisation's Digital & IT services.
  • Proven experience in managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure, both on premise and in the cloud.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building strong partnerships and aligning services with business needs.
  • A commitment to continuous service improvement and the ability to contribute to the organisation's technical strategic alignment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality technical support and guidance.
