About the role:

As a Test Bay Engineer / Test Engineer, you will undertake a variety of tests including head & flow, NPSH, noise, vibration, and resonance to meet customer specifications and delivery expectations. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards for our cutting-edge hydraulic and mechanical pumps. This is a full-time role where you will be working 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Competently manage electrical wiring of products for final assembly and testing
  • Liaise with customers and third-party inspectors to provide necessary verifications.
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and up-to-date knowledge in relevant areas.
  • Conduct research and development tests for the Hydraulic Design Department
  • Undertake scheduled periodic maintenance tasks.
  • Produce timely test-related documentation via the Test bay database.
  • Assist the Hydraulic Design Department by analysing test data to suggest product improvements.
  • Tune and modify pumps to ensure they meet required test criteria.
  • Handle internal and external technical queries from customers.
  • Check new customer orders for accuracy and completeness.

About you:

You should have a practical hands-on experience and skills with mechanical and electrical equipment, and preferably experience with pumps or rotating equipment. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively and prioritise tasks efficiently. You should also be organised, have good leaderships skills, and determined. We are looking for someone to start within the next 3 months and open to discussing relocate for the right candidate.
