Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer (mechanical bias) required for permanent day shift role Monday to Friday at food manufacturing company near Ipswich. 
Providing specialist technical support to the site operations and maintenance functions the successful candidate will ensure the effective upkeep of all plant and equipment, stores and ordering processes through proactive and reactive multi-skilled engineering work.
Duties will include:
•    Undertaking reactive and preventative maintenance of all plant and equipment
•    Proactively proposing equipment/system upgrades or improvements
•    Ensuring the most efficient use of utilities and resources including delegating work to external contractors and monitoring progress
•    Fault finding on varied equipment of different complexities and ages through troubleshooting and diagnostics
•    Completing site inductions for new contract partners and being the point of call for help and assistance
•    Communicate at all levels condition of equipment.
•    Work in a safe and logical manner.
•    Monitor stock levels and order spares as appropriate

Applicants must have previous experience of Mechanical/Electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment and ideally BTEC/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical engineering.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.00am-4.30pm (on call 1 in 4 weeks). Salary £40-45K depending on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving long-established business which offers 25 days holiday plus BH.
