Transport Planner

Transport Planner required! My client is a transport, logistics, container, and warehouse specialist, based in Ipswich, providing their customers with end-to-end logistics solutions. Due to company growth, they are looking for a transport planner with container experience to join their team.

Transport Planner - Responsibilities

Be able to operate systems such as TOPs, Port VBS systems.
Plan and schedule routes for the fleet and container deliveries/pickups.
Coordinate with stakeholders and other departments, ensuring all operations are running smoothly.
Oversee day-to-day transport operations, ensuring legal compliance's are met.
Provide regular updates to customers regarding their deliveries, and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route changes.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their transportation needs are met.
Analyse transport costs, identify any opportunities for cost savings.

Transport Planner - Requirements

Be able to operate systems such as TOPs, Port VBS systems.
Previous transport planning experience is required.
Experience in containers, and distribution.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.

Transport Planner - Remuneration

Monday-Friday
8:30 - 17:30
28 days Holiday inc Bank holidays
Salary - 30,000 - 35,000
