We are excited to offer a career opportunity with a leading organisation in the education and skills sector. They are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Tutor Lead to join their team, responsible for driving high-quality learner experiences and leading a team of Tutors.

Role Overview:As a Tutor Lead, you will be responsible for the quality of education provided by the Tutors within the department. You will manage a team, ensuring learners have an exceptional experience while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Your role will include mentoring, curriculum management, and leading your team to achieve timely learner achievements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review and report on curriculum effectiveness, ensuring suitability for learners, employers, and local skill gaps
  • Inspire and mentor Tutors to manage lesson plans and implement Training Plans and ILPs
  • Contribute to curriculum development and annual reviews
  • Accountable for an allocation of learners and their timely progress
  • Monitor the team's adherence to H&S, ED&I, and Safeguarding standards
  • Performance management of the team, including appraisals and regular meetings
  • Ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment of Functional Skills
  • Lead team meetings and standardisation activities, providing mentorship where required
  • Champion continuous professional development and skills training for the team
  • Conduct IQA observations and manage internal quality assurance processes

Required Skills:

  • Robust knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent, and Equality & Diversity regulations

Desired Skills:

  • TAQA or equivalent assessor qualifications
  • Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) or equivalent
  • ILM Management Level 3 and willingness to work towards Level 5

Experience:

  • Occupational currency in teaching and team leadership
  • Familiarity with SEND learners and effective support mechanisms
