Our client is a leading multi franchise automotive group with dealerships located across East Anglia.

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to join their successful team.

Role Overview: As a Senior Vehicle Technician, you will take on a key role within the workshop, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and MOT testing. You will lead by example, guiding junior technicians and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. You would also be responsible for the distribution of work to correct technicians. This position is perfect for someone with extensive experience and a passion for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.
  • Distribute jobs to technicians
  • MOT testing
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance on various makes and models.
  • Mentor and support junior technicians, providing guidance and training.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workshop procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
  • Assist in managing workshop productivity and workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service, explaining technical issues to customers when necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • MOT Licence
  • EV / Hybrid experience
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Full UK driving license.
