Bennett and Game are working alongside a leading provider of international freight forwarding and customs brokerage services. With a strong global presence, they specialize in providing tailored logistics solutions to meet their clients' import and export requirements. The role is based in Ipswich on site.
Customs Operations Coordinator Position Overview
- Co-ordination of import jobs as they arrive through email, ensuring workload is equally distributed between CCT staff members
- Complete day to day Import Customs Clearances and entries for all air, sea and road freight shipments, including EAD's and T1s.
- Processing of both Import and occasional Export customs declarations
- General day to day admin
- Provide support when required for the CCT Manager
- Producing relevant reports
- Maintaining data input accuracy
- Calculation of Duty / VAT for each consignment
Customs Coordinator Position Requirements
- CDS expereince required
- Cargowise is desriable but not a neccesity
- Previous HMRC Customs declarations experience for Imports and Exports and for Road Freight and Sea Freight (Highly Desirable)
- Knowledge of customs declarations, ideally gained through working within freight forwarding or logistics.
- Experience of checking and processing relevant shipping documentation
- Previous experience working with the following shipping software - Descarte, Destin8, CHIEF, CDS, T1s. (Highly Desirable)
- Experience using CONEX (Desirable)
Customs Coordinator Position Remuneration
- £26,500.00 - £30,000.00 DOE
- Monday to Friday
- 09:00am - 17:30pm
