Position: European Operations Administrator

Location: Iron Action, Bristol

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to 30,000 DEO

We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes.

We seek a European Operations Administrator to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the team handling transport trailers to various European destinations. The ideal candidate will come from a freight forwarding or logistics background.


Your key responsibilities as a European Operations Administrator:

  • Liaise with clients, overseas agents and internal departments
  • Taking bookings from Operators and inputting into database
  • Checking customer invoices to ensure customs compliance
  • Tracking shipments and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Liaising with internal customs compliance team
  • Coordinating with carriers, customs agents and other
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, invoices and other relevant documents
  • To ensure good internal communication between key departments, customer handling, Transport and warehouse.
  • Charge and costing shipments
  • Resolve and manage queries

Requirements:

  • Experience in freight forwarding operations or logistic planning desirable
  • Proven experience in similar role
  • Excellent customer service
  • Good organisation and ability to work to deadline is essential
  • Knowledge of customs procedures - desirable
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Numerate and high level of accuracy
  • Experience with Microsoft packages
