Laboratory Scientist (Analytical Chemistry)12 MonthsIrvine£20.40p/h max PAYE– Full timeRole Purpose:To complete the required product testing in a safe and compliant way to ensure the analysis generates accurate data to enable product disposition to be assigned.Key Responsibilities:1. Sample, test, report and validate final products, intermediates, raw materials and in-process samples to defined procedures2. Consistently operate to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratories Practices (GLP) standards to ensure compliant product testing3. Maintain and calibrate a wide range of analytical equipment to ensure continual production of accurate and precise results4. Utilise theoretical and practical knowledge to aid interpretation of results and troubleshooting5. Demonstrate proficiency in routine laboratory information systems to interpret and report results6. Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others and the protection of the environment7. Identify, participate and implement Continuous Improvements opportunities8. Seek, recommend and implement continuous improvement opportunities to minimise waste and remove risk from the business9. Complete all actions arising from internal/external audit commitments.10. Order reference standards to support lab analysis and monitor stability cabinet and retained sample operations to ensure no detrimental impact on testing and compliance (Raw Materials only)Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience required• Technical knowledge and experience of analytical science -• HPLC, GC, IR, UV, Karl Fischer. - Cinematographic and spectroscopic analysis of API's• Relevant experience of working without close supervision• Experience of participation in inter-departmental teams working on quality related problems• Ability to trouble shoot problem analytical methods/ instrumentation and implement solutions
