Roof Truss Team Leader

Alexanders Timber Design is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer for the house building sector and one of the key business units of Glennon Brothers who are a leading timber processor in the UK & Ireland. We are a growing and expanding business with further ambitious growth plans ahead of us. As a leader in the Green Tech industry our bespoke facility in Irvine is equipped with manufacturing equipment with state-of-the-art technology.

Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, we are looking to recruit a number of experienced roof truss setters to join the team at our long-established and reputable timber frame and roof truss manufacturing business on a full-time basis.

Our busy, newly opened production facility has a high level of automation with well-equipped 3 Axis CNC saws.

Candidates must be willing to work on a 3 shift pattern (DS 7am-3:15pm, BS 3pm-11:15pm and NS 11pm-7:15am).

38.75 hours per week, 5 days per week (overtime available)

Competitive rate plus shift allowance

Required Skills

• Previous setting experience in Roof Truss manufacturing
• Previous experience in Roof Truss / Timber environment.
• Managing staff to ensure productivity is ahead of delivery program
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and with a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship
• Interpret technical drawings
• Flexible to accommodate shift patterns

Candidates must have previous roof truss experience

Trainee applicants may be considered for this role if they demonstrate aptitude and related work experience. Full training is provided.
