Working as part of the automation team in the maintenance department, you will undertake preventative and corrective maintenance routines, troubleshooting, projects and equipment refurbishments. Ensuring maximum availability and reliability of our production process and CHP plant while complying with our safety and environmental policies.
You must have served a recognised electrical apprenticeship, be qualified to HNC level in electrical/electronic engineering and have experience in a manufacturing environment. You will be an analytical troubleshooter able to fault find, maintain and repair electrical equipment associated with a continuous industrial process.
Have experience and knowledge of:
* LV and HV switchgear (up to 11KV).
* Competent with electrical drawings to diagnose faults accurately.
* Control systems such as PLC's/DCS systems.
* Variable speed drives, AC & DC motors.
* Maintenance management system preferably SAP.
* Relevant Health and Safety legislation with a working knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations (EaWR 1989), Permit to Work and LOTO systems.
You should be able to work safely, be self-motivated, have good communication skills, be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative while having the commitment and organisational skills to manage your responsibilities efficiently and effectively. Furthermore, take initiative to develop additional knowledge of the technical area and to mentor apprentices.
Hours will be flexible depending on operational needs however, core hours will be Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:00. Participation in a guaranteed call out rota will also be required.
