Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000

The role of the Operations Manager Timber Manufacturing will involve:
Operations Manager position overseeing the manufacturing and production line fora high end range of timber products
Manage and oversee the production personnel to achieve maximum production efficiency
Ensure that all orders are manufactured and despatched in a timely fashion
Ensure that all regulations, policies and health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Liaise with maintenance staff to ensure that plant machinery is fully operational and down time is a minimum
Identify areas of the production line that need improving to increase productivity
Provide regular feedback to the workforce around performance
Overseeing a production team of circa 60 with 3 direct reports
The ideal applicant will be an Operations Manager Timber Manufacturing with:
Must have Operation Management experience within the manufacturing market sector
Ideally will be from a timber products or construction related background dealing with: timber, lumbar, material timber, saw milling, saw mill, decking, fencing, whitewoods, carcassing etc
Must be an excellent communicator and leader
Lean manufacturing skillset (5S), IOSH & NEBOSH qualifications would be advantageous
IT literate and familiar with manufacturing software
Proactive, motivated, and highly organised
