Our client, a reputable manufacturing company, is seeking an Inventory Planner to join their team and play a crucial role in optimising their supply chain operations. Please note this role is initially on a 6 month contract but may lead to other opportunities or a permanent position within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, analyse and manage the movement of goods
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production planning, purchasing, quality and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly
  • Develop inventory strategies to support sales goals while minimising excess stock and maximising turnover
  • Analyse data to optimise inventory allocation and replenishment, ensuring optimal product availability
  • Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes and systems

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Planner, Demand Planner, or similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound business decisions
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP or ERP platform would be an advantage) and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build effective relationships
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within a regulated environment would be an advantage.

Hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (37.5) with a degree of start/finish time flexibility. The role will be mainly on-site due to the onboarding process, however, there may be the opportunity later on to work remotely on occasion. Immediate start.
