Your new companyThis company is a well-established manufacturing company which works with some well-recognised brands in their industry and has gone through a massive period of growth and has various opportunities within their business. Your new roleThis position is Monday-Thursday 0830-1700 and Friday is 0830-1600.This role will provide day-to-day accountability for scheduling and expediting components against SAP MRP requirements. This is in line with business/customer production and sales orders. The role also provides ongoing support for the development of the Planning and Procurement.activities to support Inventory Targets. Ensure all relevant Master data and Procurement parameters are accurate and updated on MRP system. Planning and scheduling deliveries of specific purchased products to meet the demands of our forecast. Stock management of procured product ensuring stock levels are maintained to an agreed level whilst ensuring production shortages are minimised. Buying and negotiating materials and maintaining continual contact with suppliers ensures information flow is timely and effective to optimise supply chain. Liaising with all departments internally with regard to material issues. What you'll need to succeedExperience working within an FMCG environment. Experience working within a Materials Planning environment would be advantageous. Strong problem analysis, judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to plan activities, meet assigned schedules and achieve planned targets and objectives. Strong commercial awareness. Good understanding of MRP / ERP systems. Ability to think ahead and prioritise tasks. Competency in the use of Microsoft packages, Excel, Word, etc. High degree of flexibility with good problem-solving and communication skills.What you'll get in returnA salary of between £34,000 and £34,500, 28 days (inclusive of 5 public holidays) plus birthday holiday.
