Maintenance Engineer

Alexander Timber Design Ltd. is a leading Timber Frame and Roof Truss manufacturer. Our clients range from private individuals to the most prestigious national building and construction companies.

We are a growing, expanding business, therefore we are now recruiting to further develop our Maintenance team.

Job Description

You will report to the General Manager and will be part of a small multi-skilled maintenance team, where you are tasked with planned and reactive maintenance of the sites production equipment.

Responsibilities

Carry out reactive and proactive maintenance safely on production plant and equipment ensuring production (and site) downtime is kept to a minimum.

Ensure routine maintenance schedules are completed on time every time

Install new equipment where required

Interrogate, fault find and resolve any problems that are shown on the companys equipment

Active participation in and close out of assigned tasks associated with summer & winter overhauls to ensure all plant equipment is maintained and repaired as required

Active participation and meaningful engagement in continuous improvement activities and meetings

Completion of work permits as required and adherence to health and safety standards

Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives

Participation in special projects as required

Skills Profile

Time-served multi skilled maintenance professional (18th Edition wiring regulations)

Relevant experience in a production environment working shifts

Knowledge of PLCs, Servo Drives, Robotics and line Automation is desirable

Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to prioritize key tasks and meet challenging deadlines

Strong attention to detail and concern for standards with a keen results orientation

Flexible and willingness to work shifts

Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, to interact with production/maintenance colleagues and managers alike

Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to take and respond to direction as required

Self-motivated individual who has strong customer focus and can work on ones own initiative

Proven track record of working with the systems as outlined
