We are seeking an Accountant with exceptional interpersonal skills and substantial technical knowledge to join our fast-growing practice. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is eager to excel within a forward-thinking firm and enrich our proficient and self-motivated team. Our firm provides a wide range of services to a diverse clientele, including SMEs, OMBs, HNWIs, charities, and corporate groups.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Preparing annual statutory accounts for a variety of clients, including companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and charities.
  • Producing interim management accounts, including P&L and balance sheets.
  • Meeting all statutory and client deadlines, aiming to exceed expectations.
  • Preparing corporate and personal tax computations.
  • Reviewing and completing accounts, attending final client meetings, and ensuring clients receive final accounts and adjustments.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of accounts assistants.
  • Contributing to the development of less experienced team members.
  • Assisting in planning and managing workflow.
  • Ensuring efficient and effective client service at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recognised accountancy qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK general accountancy practice environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software(Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to work efficiently to meet targets.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a self-starter attitude, proactive and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-management skills to effectively meet long-term goals.
