Job Description:

We are looking for a caring and experienced SEN Nursery Assistant with an NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Isleworth, TW7. This role offers a unique opportunity to work 1:1 with a child with special educational needs, helping to support their development and ensuring they thrive in the nursery environment.

As an SEN Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support for the child, working closely with the nursery team to deliver a nurturing and stimulating experience that meets the individual needs of the child. This is an ideal position for someone with SEN experience who is passionate about making a difference in the early years of a child's life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN, helping them engage in daily nursery activities.
  • Work closely with the nursery team to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist the child with emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Help implement individual development plans and monitor the child's progress.
  • Encourage the child's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and structured activities.
  • Communicate effectively with the nursery staff, SEN specialists, and parents to ensure consistent support.

Requirements:

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience working with children with SEN in an early years or nursery/ primary setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to working with young children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to support the development of children with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices within a nursery/ school setting.
