Care Assistant - Isleworth

We are currently recruiting for a Care Assistant to support children within the Isleworth area. The role will be working full-time to support students with Special Educational Needs who are in need of personal care such as feeding, washing, dressing and some medical support depending on the individual needs of the children. Some children will be wheelchair bound and non-verbal.The role will be based in a Children's Centre within Isleworth where most students will have 1:1 support if not 2:1 and will be in small groups. Although this role is predominantly 1:1, there will be support when needed but as a Children's Care Assistant, you will be required to support children without supervision when needed.The ideal candidate will have experience working with disabilities within some vicinity; whether that's as a Support worker, Healthcare assistant, Teaching assistant or in personal life.

Requirements:

  • Either live in Isleworth or within a commutable distance
  • Have an enhanced child & adult DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one
  • Have experience as a Children's Care Assistant,
  • Must have SEN experience
  • Be comfortable doing personal care when needed

If successful, you will be a Children's Care Assistant throughout the entire academic year with the potential of going permanent in the future. If not successful in this role then we may consider you for other roles in the Isleworth depending on your suitability and availability. Part time candidates are welcome to apply as we may get some supply work during busier times of the academic year.
