An all through school are looking for experienced Primary Teaching Assistants with experience who can join the school to support their pupils with autism on a long-term basis

The Role

In this role you will be supporting a range of primary aged pupils with autism and ADHD, complex needs, physical disabilities and severe learning difficulties. Many of the students you will be supporting have SEND needs and require 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 support.

Due to the nature of this role, the school are only looking for Teaching Assistants with previous experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.

The School

This small school offers 60 places in each year group; from nursery all the way to Year 11 and 75 pupils in their Sixth Form.  

By keeping the school small, they can create a community of pupils and teachers where no pupil is left behind.  Teachers spend more time with each group of pupils, enabling them to create an environment in which pupils want to learn, achieve, and behave well.

The school work to an al-through backward plan curriculum, with the aim to drive through excellence in each year group. 

The school offer expertly created scaffolding lessons to ensure all SEND students can access the curriculum. If extra support is required then the students are withdrawn for additional, intervention usually in a small group.
