Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans, adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic curiosity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
  • Participate in school activities, contributing to the positive school culture and wider community.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Science in a special needs setting, particularly with students who have SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
