Position: Science Teacher
Location: Isleworth
Salary: £145 to £230 per day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education is working with a specialist education service that focuses on supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and SEMH. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
- Develop and implement personalised learning plans, adapting teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic curiosity.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists to ensure the holistic development of each student.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching approaches where necessary.
- Participate in school activities, contributing to the positive school culture and wider community.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Science or a related field.
- Experience teaching Science in a special needs setting, particularly with students who have SEMH and moderate learning difficulties.
- A strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behaviour management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
