Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safety, efficient scheduling, and top-notch service for members.Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day poolside operations with a focus on health and safety.
  • Manage lifeguard teams, schedules, and wet side activities, including galas and holiday camps.
  • Act as the Duty Manager for the leisure centre, handling operational needs and customer queries.
  • Conduct regular pool hygiene and safety checks, coordinate maintenance, and manage pool plant operations.
  • Respond to health and safety incidents and safeguarding issues, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, addressing queries and complaints professionally.
About You: To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
  • Experience in wet side operations within the leisure sector and previous supervisory experience.
  • A strong understanding of Health & Safety practices, with the ability to implement regulations effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to motivate and lead a dedicated team.
Qualifications: While not essential, it’s beneficial if you:
  • Hold or are working towards a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
  • Have or are aiming for a First Aid at Work Qualification.
  • Hold or are working towards a Pool Plant Operator Qualification.
