Job Overview:

A reputable college in Isleworth is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Travel & Aviation to deliver high-quality teaching for Level 2 and Level 3 courses. This role is ideal for an industry professional with teaching experience who is passionate about inspiring and educating the next generation of travel and aviation professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Travel & Aviation for Level 2 & Level 3 students.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering an engaging learning environment.
  • Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and ensure academic progress.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum requirements.
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of the curriculum.
  • Adhere to college policies, safeguarding procedures, and quality standards.
Working Hours:

This role requires teaching over three days per week, with a total of 9-10 hours per week:

  • Monday (3 hours): 10:00 - 11:00 am (flexible), 1:20 - 3:20 pm
  • Tuesday (4 hours): 11:20 am - 3:20 pm
  • Wednesday (3 hours): 11:20 am - 12:10 pm, 1:20 - 3:20 pm
Qualifications & Experience:
  • A relevant qualification in Travel, Tourism, Aviation, or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Previous experience teaching Travel & Aviation at Level 2 and/or Level 3.
  • Strong industry experience within the travel and aviation sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A current DBS check (dated within the last 3 months or on the update service) is preferred.
