About the Phonics Teaching Assistant Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a full-time Phonics Teaching Assistant where you will play a crucial role in both the classroom environment and the children's learning journey, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities for Phonics Teaching Assistant:

  • Plan, deliver and lead phonics interventions for students in KS1
  • Work closely with class teacher to ensure students are achieving
  • Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of every child in the classroom.
  • Support social and emotional development for all and be a positive role model.

Requirements for Phonics Teaching Assistant:

  • Minimum education - Undergraduate Degree.
  • Experience of delivering phonics interventions is a must.
  • Academically strong and enthusiastic about education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
  • An enhanced DBS on the online update service is desired but not necessary as we will be able to process one for you.
