Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Long Term Futures is seeking a male 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Highbury, N5. This role involves providing individualised support to a Year 4 pupil with emotional regulation needs and delivering small group instruction in maths.

About the Role

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the pupil manage emotional challenges and engage positively with learning. The role also includes leading small group maths interventions, helping to reinforce understanding and improve confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised support to a Year 4 pupil, focusing on emotional and academic development.
  • Deliver small group instruction in maths, supporting pupils to strengthen their understanding.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning behaviours.
  • Assist with lesson planning, adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Conduct progress monitoring to track student development and adjust support accordingly.
