Based Near M25/M40 you work on regular basis acorss head office and operations sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate strict adherence to company policies, regulations, and legal obligations, including but not limited to health and safety, transportation, vehicle management, and environmental standards.

  • Offer guidance and assistance to ensure teams, contractors, visitors, and the public follow all relevant safety and environmental protocols, in line with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders by delivering consistent, high-quality service and professionalism in all interactions.

  • Contribute to the successful implementation of the HSEQ Roadmap by providing support for:

    • Site inspections and visits

    • Incident reviews and follow-ups

    • Identifying and delivering training needs

    • Offering risk-based advice

    • Assisting with internal and external audits and certification processes

  • Leadership Development: Strengthen the capabilities of supervisors and managers through coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to enhance their skills in executing the HSEQ Roadmap effectively.

  • Team Collaboration: Actively participate as a key member of the HSEQ team, contributing to collective goals and delivering on commitments to both internal and external stakeholders.

Accountabilities:
  • Operational Support: Ensure teams understand their responsibilities and best practices, offering clarification and challenging inefficiencies when necessary.

  • Site Oversight: Monitor operational sites, ensuring HSEQ activities are correctly carried out, documented, and reported using appropriate systems.

  • Field Relationships: Foster safe, open, and trusting working relationships to promote a transparent safety culture.

  • Issue Escalation: Promptly raise concerns to senior leadership and seek support when needed.

  • Professional Development: Maintain current skills and competencies through regular training, performance reviews, and ongoing development initiatives.

Establish and maintain effective communication with external parties, including:

  • Approved suppliers and contractors

  • Regulatory authorities

  • HSEQ professionals within the industry

  • Members of the public

Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including:

  • The HSEQ function and associated consultants or contractors

  • Relevant support departments

  • Line management across the organization

Key performance indicators will be established during regular appraisals and one-on-one meetings with the line manager. These may include:

  • Delivery of operational tasks, such as site visits, incident reviews, advisory support, training delivery, and audit participation.

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including those of the Principal Contractor where applicable, and proactive action when non-compliance occurs.

Qualifications & Skills – Essential:
  • Valid Black or White CSCS card

  • NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification

  • UK driver’s license

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • GCSE-level numeracy or equivalent

  • Safety-critical medical certification

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and applications

  • Training or presentation skills certification (e.g., Train the Trainer)

  Experience – Essential:
  • Proven experience in promoting and maintaining health and safety standards within a construction setting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels

  • Collaborative team player with strong time management skills

  • Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problem-solving


Experience – Desirable:
  • Flexibility to work night shifts when required

  • Experience in diverse construction projects, with knowledge of full-scope build processes
