Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Purpose of the Role: To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Design Technology, ensuring students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning.
- Plan and prepare well-structured lessons tailored to the abilities of all students.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that facilitates learning.
- Inspire students to work to their potential and generate enthusiasm for the subject.
- Set and mark homework according to policy and student needs.
- Provide effective feedback to further student learning.
Student Progress:
- Assess, record, and monitor the progress of students.
- Provide oral and written assessments, reports, and references.
- Support and encourage students to achieve high standards.
- Departmental and School Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the department.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of courses, materials, and teaching programs.
- Maintain effective links across the school and trust for resource sharing.
- Professional Development:
- Engage in performance management and identify personal development needs.
- Participate in further training and professional development activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience teaching Design Technology at various levels (e.g., GCSE, A-Level).
- Strong knowledge of the subject and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to create and share high-quality learning materials.
