Human Resources Advisor

Plymouth (Ivybridge)

Full-time, Fixed term contract

Our established client is looking for a HR Advisor on a Fixed Term Contract who can provide a HR advisory and support service for managers at two sites in their organisation's portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee relations and be confident in working collaboratively both in a ER team and offering an advisory service to managers.

Your role will be to signpost managers to appropriate HR policies and procedures, providing professional advice and support on a broad range of employee relations matters. The position will involve working closely with managers, in an environment with strong values and where everyone is working towards the same goal as an organisation. You will need to be able to work independently and give professional and concise advice when under pressure, however this is a rewarding role.

Main responsibilities:

· Support on a broad range of employee relations matters including disciplinary/conduct, performance, grievance, sickness absence, flexible working requests, TUPE, pay and grading, redundancy, and redeployment.

· Provide advice and support on HR policies and procedures.

· Manage employee relations issues and investigations.

· Maintain a solutions-focused, flexible, creative approach to the provision of employee relations advice.

· Advise and support managers through informal and formal employee relations processes and assist at formal meetings and hearings.

· Participate in and/or assist with project and policy work.

· Assist in the design of HR training and deliver HR training at sites.

· Support the HR Central team in introducing and embedding policies and practice.

The successful candidate will have:

· HR experience in an advisory capacity

· Active CIPD membership (Associate or above)

· Detailed and up to date knowledge of employment law, case law, and good employment practice.

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· The ability to work independently but with a central team.

This job is based in office, with good transport links available and free parking. This is a full-time role 37 hours per week.
