Infrastructure Engineer    Join Our Team:We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients growing IT team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of networks, data centres, servers, and storage systems.  You’ll use advanced monitoring tools to proactively identify issues, optimise performance, and ensure the security and reliability of their IT systems, which are critical for business continuity and operational success.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain high-availability IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
  • Monitor systems and swiftly resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Configure and manage both physical and virtual server environments.
  • Ensure robust data protection through effective backup and recovery strategies.
  • Oversee the health and safety of data centre operations (power, fire suppression, environmental controls).
  • Provide ongoing support for server administration, virtualiation and cloud-based platforms.
  • Work collaboratively to uphold IT security standards and support business continuity plans.
  • Contribute to network management and ensure smooth operation of connected systems.
Your experience:
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including data centres, servers, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and backup.
  • Strong knowledge of server and system administration, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with data centre operations, including environmental monitoring, power management, and safety protocols.
  • Skilled in network management and IT security.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
