Job Title: Design Technology Teacher

Purpose of the Role: To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Design Technology, ensuring students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching and Learning.
• Plan and prepare well-structured lessons tailored to the abilities of all students.
• Create a stimulating classroom environment that facilitates learning.
• Inspire students to work to their potential and generate enthusiasm for the subject.
• Set and mark homework according to policy and student needs.
• Provide effective feedback to further student learning.

Student Progress:

• Assess, record, and monitor the progress of students.
• Provide oral and written assessments, reports, and references.
• Support and encourage students to achieve high standards.
• Departmental and School Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the department.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of courses, materials, and teaching programs.
• Maintain effective links across the school and trust for resource sharing.
• Professional Development:
• Engage in performance management and identify personal development needs.
• Participate in further training and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience teaching Design Technology at various levels (e.g., GCSE, A-Level).
• Strong knowledge of the subject and teaching methodologies.
• Ability to create and share high-quality learning materials.
