Production Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineer to join our clients well establish manufacturing team. This role involves directing time and motion studies to enhance overall efficiency and achieve cost savings across employee operations and facilities. The ideal candidate will apply industrial management techniques and principles to optimise production processes and support strategic pricing decisions.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Direct and conduct time and motion studies to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Observe and analyse work procedures to determine time and motion requirements for various positions or assignments.
  • Analyse data and specifications to establish reasonable time and production standards.
  • Use mathematical analysis to identify objective measurements of alternate work patterns.
  • Develop cost and time-saving recommendations and modifications to work methods, staffing requirements, wage rates, and equipment and facilities upgrades.
  • Design and coordinate all phases of the production process using industrial engineering principles and best practices.
  • Assist marketing and sales departments by developing a cost analysis system for pricing decisions.
  • Train technicians in time and motion techniques, methods, and principles.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
