About the RoleWe are proud to be recruiting for our award-winning client company based in Keighley, who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and collaborate with their established Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of a thriving organisation. Key Responsibilities as Financial Controller
  • Team Leadership: Manage the daily activities of the Finance team, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and training.
  • Payroll Management: Process weekly and monthly salaries using Sage 50 and ensure PAYE submissions to HMRC are accurate. Manage auto-enrolment pension uploads and employee changes.
  • Financial Administration: Monitor cash flow, process BACS payment runs, reconcile VAT, and oversee fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals. Handle exchange rate monitoring and euro conversions.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Produce monthly stock figures, prepare year-end accounts, and provide financial information for board meetings. Collaborate with the Managing Director on budgeting and cash flow.
  • Credit Control and Invoicing: Manage customer accounts, process web order receipts, and oversee invoices, expenses, and customer discount lists.
  • General Duties: Reconcile bank accounts, manage Directors’ expenses, and prepare commission and expense reports for sales representatives.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing and coaching a Finance team.
  • Sage 50 Payroll experience (essential).
  • ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable).
  • Solid background in busy finance environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
