Our Client based in Keighley is looking for an experience and skilled CNC Mill Turn Programmer/Setter/Operator to join their team.

Working Hours - 40 hrs per week , there is flexibility on start times

Monday -Thursday 8.00am - 4.45pm

Friday 8.00am -3.30pm

Pay Rate -18.00 phr

Successful candidate will be programming and setting Doosan Puma Mill/Turn lathes with 2nd spindle. Willing to operate other machines where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming the machines.
  • Machine Setup and Tooling: Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, securing workpieces, and installing tooling and fixtures.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and make tool changes, as necessary.
  • Conduct tool offsets and work offsets to ensure accurate machining.
  • Need experience of Fanuc turning centers. We have Doosan Puma 4100m & 2600SY II.
  • CNC Operation: Program/Set & Operate CNC machines to produce parts with precision and accuracy.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal condition.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct in-process checks and measurements to verify accuracy and quality.
  • Identify and address any issues that may affect the quality of the product.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality standards and production schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Evidence of successful completion of training in programming. Proficiency in CNC programming.
  • Technical certification or diploma in machining or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality parts.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc machine controls.
