From September, a Keighley Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 2 with multiple medical needs.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

  • Supporting with moving safely around school
  • Supporting child with learning
  • Administrating medication
  • Administering tube feeds
  • Some personal care
  • First Aid and post (mild) seizure support

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration, tube feeding and first aid.
