A Skipton Primary school is seeking a SEND teaching assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 boy who has multiple medical needs, starting in January.
Candidates should have experience working with children with medical needs and be prepared to provide strong pastoral and emotional support.
The role involves supporting the child with learning, administering medication, and providing tube feeds, with training provided for the latter.
The position requires flexibility and the ability to think on the spot to respond to the pupil's cues and needs.

From January, a Skipton Primary school is looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a boy in Year 2 with multiple medical needs.

Day to day for this SEND teaching assistant role:

Supporting with moving safely around school
Supporting child with learning
Administrating medication
Administering tube feeds 9training will be given)
Some personal care

As a support assistant you will show strong pastoral and emotional support for your pupil, as well as being vigilant to their cues and needs which will mean able to think on the spot and being flexible with his timetable. The pupil will require some medical administration, tube feeding and first aid.
