Insight Execuive Group are supporting Airedale NHS Foundation Trust in looking for an accomplishedHead of Technicalto lead the design and construction of a new hospital as part of theSecuring the Future Programme. This role is central to shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure at Airedale General Hospital, with the site set to be completely rebuilt by 2030.

Role Purpose

The Head of Technical will:

  • Lead the development and execution of plans for the new hospital design, working with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure alignment with operational needs.
  • Oversee construction stages, manage enabling works, and collaborate with design and construction partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Act as the Trust’s technical expert, ensuring compliance with industry standards and sustainability goals.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Chartered professional status in a construction or engineering field, with membership in a recognised institution.
  • Senior-level experience in healthcare construction projects, ideally within the NHS.
  • Expertise in technical project management, budgeting, risk assessment, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and manage complexity.
