Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant, Skipton area, £35,000-£50,000
Due to growth an established chartered accountancy practice in the Skipton area is recruiting for a Accounts Senior or Accounts Manager, they can offer fullor part time hours.
You will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders to Partnerships and Limited Companies .
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records
- Company and personal tax return preparation
- Liaising with clients on all accounting matters
- VAT return / Bookkeeping assistance where required during busy periods
- Reviewing work of other employees
- New client setup
- Attending client meetings occasionally
- Other ad-hoc projects as they arise
Skills Required :
- ACA or ACCA or PQ or Qualified by experience
- Experience working within a UK based qualified accountancy firm
- Excellent working knowledge of Accounts Preparation for a range of businesses including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships.
- Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard
- A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero is desirable
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential
Offices are accessible from Bradford, Colne, Skipon, Keighley, Ilkley
