SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work for our client based in Keighley on a permanent basis.
Role Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers and bottling machinery
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns reducing machine down time to a minimum
- Electrical repairs to motors, drivers, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contractors, sensors
- PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults- Recording and commissioning all fault findings
- Assisting with projects and the installation of the new plant- Communicating effectively with the engineering manager
- Assisting the developing and implementing line improvements, new installations, office repairs
- Planned maintenance and any other tasks deemed appropriate by the engineering manager
- Must be prepared to work across two sites in Keighley and Grassington
Experience Required
Experience preferred in the areas below - further development and training will be provided.
- Electronics/plc
- Pneumatics
- Mechanical engineering
- Mig and Tig welding
- A proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role
- A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
- Relevant Apprentice training or relevant qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Fault finding and maintenance experience
- Experience in the food and drinks manufacturing industry
Core working hours are Monday to Friday on days to work a 48 hour working week
Annual Salary 45,000 plus company pension scheme
