Academics are looking for an enthusiastic special educational needs teaching assistant who is engaging and willing to take on different challenges throughout the day. Academics are looking for people that are free to work on a full time and part time basis, based in the North Bradford area (Keighley).

The suitable candidate should be hard working, reliable and empathetic as they will be working closely with children with SEN. Located in Bradford, the 'outstanding'' SEN school is a pro-active special educational school that strides in supporting children with complex SEN such as Autism and PMLD. Previous experience

Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting SEN children with their development, following their Individual Education Plans (IEP's).
  • Working alongside the teacher to help with planning and creating engaging activities to adhere to the different learning styles.
  • Works well under pressure and can work well with an enthusiastic team.
  • Adhere to the school behaviour strategies to create a safe environment.
  • Moving and handling specific children as they are unable to do so themselves with care.
  • Creating a comfortable, inclusive environment so that the SEN students feel valued, supported and have love for learning.
